E-Commerce Operations Assistant

Location: Dorking, Surrey, UK.   

Commitment: Full Time, Permanent

Reports to: Operations Manager

This key position is right at the heart of Snakehive, ensuring the smooth running of an efficient and professional Operations function and everything else in between. The work itself will be varied, fast paced and you’ll be cross-trained and in constant communication with many different areas on the business.


  • Quality assurance checks and resolution of any product issues
  • Arranging shipping couriers and the investigation and resolution of shipment queries
  • Be trained and work with our in-house hot foil machine to customise products for our customers
  • Work alongside the Amazon FBA co-ordinator to support arranging couriers etc
  • Work alongside the Customer Services team to resolve and investigate order queries
  • Help supervise any temporary staff with work and responsibilities
  • Perform fraud checks
  • Daily order processing and labelling 
  • Taking in delivery and processing of stock
  • Compiling and developing reports on operational Key Performance and Risk Indicators
  • Help maintain and optimise our operational systems to be more efficient
  • Review and work to improve operational processes, workflows and procedures
  • Perform stock counts and validate inventory quantities in the system
  • Work with the procurement team to identify stock shortages and procurement needs
  • Attend and contribute in weekly team meetings
  • Maintenance of the warehouse of a daily basis
  • Undertaking other operational and appropriate administrative duties as required


  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Excellent organisational skills, ability to multi task, prioritise and manage time effectively
  • Strong team-working combined with ability to work as part of a cross functional team
  • Good level of health required; as the role involves some lifting of boxes at times
  • Proficiency in spoken and written English language
  • Competent use of Microsoft Office e.g. Word & Excel
